However, it was nice, in a way. By Christmas day, Tater Bug was feeling better and we spent the whole day at home hanging out and playing with toys. So we decided to start a new tradition. We would do all extended families on the weekends before or after Christmas. Christmas Eve is for our parents and Christmas Day is for us. We would stay home, do nothing, and allow the kids to just be kids. It's a good thing we did! Tater Bug was all about opening EVERYTHING he got. If we would have tried to pry him away from his trains, well, I don't know what would have happened. But I can assure you it would have ended with tears being shed and an unhappy Tater Bug. And that isn't what Christmas is about.
So all in all, it was a nice day! We didn't do anything significant. Just played, and played, and played... It was the best Christmas day yet!
Can't believe how grown-up TB looks...he's losing his toddler face. Boo-hoo! So happy you guys enjoyed your "at home" Christmas~so very important to have chill time over the holiday and enjoy your very own family!!! Missing you all so very very much! Love you! Bren
